Our athletes' success is what makes our reputation
We stand by our athletes through thick and thin. We understand it isn't always roses and sunshine so we love to celebrate when they excel!
Recent Western Washington University softball commit, Rylie Wales, is a senior at Snohomish High School. She was a leader on the field in 2016 and hit two home runs in the WA State Softball Tournament, as the SHS Panthers went on to win the 4A state title. Since she was little, it was her dream to play softball for Western. Rylie plays outfield and first base and was one of Excelerate Sport’s first athletes. Along with her little sister, Grace, Rylie does all her weight training and speed training at Excelerate 4 days a week and is a great leader to all our Excelerate athletes.
While not in season, Rylie enjoys swimming out on the lake and being with friends, eating pulled pork sandwiches, and wants to travel to Spain.
Snohomish High School Freshman, Grace Wales, trains at Excelerate Sport 4 days a week alongside sister Rylie. Grace is currently training for both Soccer and Softball. In 2016, Snohomish High School’s soccer team went to state and Grace was their starting goalie as a freshman.
When Grace is not playing for the school team, she plays for Snohomish United. Outside of sports, some of Grace's favorite things to do are read books, snowboard, and thrift shopping!
Current Bobsledder and former collegiate football player, Blake Petersen, is working towards his dream of competing for Team USA at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. An incredibly dedicated athlete, Blake has been competing in sports for as long as he can remember. Blake played football at Arlington High school and later at Pacific Lutheran University. Blake trains here at Excelerate Sport 5-6 days a week alongside coach Alex Harrison with both competing in bobsled.
Outside of sports, Blake is currently working on getting his master’s degree in teaching and is a little bit of a nerd. He loves Star Wars, Harry Potter, and reading comics. If Blake was in a Harry Potter house, he would be in Hufflepuff, and if he was a superhero he would be Captain America. Blake's favorite cheat meal is Pizza, any kind of pizza.
Baseball pitcher, Sam Stayner, has been training at Excelerate Sport since June 2016 and is looking to play college ball. Last year, Snohomish High school’s baseball team won districts and went to state with Sam playing a part as a pitcher for the team. Sam is a dedicated athlete who consistently works hard and is always working to improve. In the month of November, Sam was Excelerate Athlete of the Month.
When not playing baseball, Sam enjoys chowing down on some fried rice and watching football. Sam and his family have a yearly tradition where they always attend an away Seahawks game.
Glacier Peak senior, Cameron Kellar, is the starting catcher for the Grizzlies. Cam competes in both football and baseball, but has recently fully committed 100% to baseball. Recently, Cam took visits to Dubuque University and the College of Monmouth in Illinois as both expressed interest in having him sign with them. He has received offers from both and will look to make a decision in the near future. Cam trains at Excelerate 4 days a week, and through his hard work, gained roughly 15 pounds of muscle in his first 6 months of training and was Excelerate Athlete of the Month in January.
